Pronouns
Pronoun: A word used to stand for (or take the place of) a noun. A pronoun should refer clearly to a noun coming before the word. The noun that is being replaced is called the antecedent.
Example:
From Quebec the French moved into other parts of Canada, where they built trading posts to collect furs.
